Ensure that the wood and wood materials used in the product are not from deforestation forests, but from FSC™ certified forests and realize the forest management of environmental protection, sustainable management and ecological protection.
 
Principle 1:
Compliance with the law and the principles of FSC™
Forest management should respect the laws of the country in which it is located and the international conventions and agreements signed by the country, and adhere to all the principles and standards of the FSC™.
 
Principle 2:
Ownership, Use Rights and Responsibilities
Long-term ownership and use rights to land and forest resources should be clearly defined, documented and legally documented.
 
Principle 3:
Rights of Indigenous Peoples
The legal and customary rights of Indigenous Peoples to own, use and manage their lands, territories and resources should be recognized and respected.
 
Principle 4:
Community Relations and Workers' Rights
Forest management activities should maintain or enhance the long-term social and economic interests of forest workers and local communities.
 
Principle 5:
Benefits from forests
Forest management activities should encourage the efficient use of a wide range of forest products and services to ensure the economic benefits of forests and wider social and environmental benefits.
 
Principle 6:
Environmental Impact
Forest management should protect biodiversity and its associated values, such as water, soil, and unique and fragile ecosystems and landscapes, and thereby maintain the ecological function and integrity of forests.
 
Principle 7:
Business Planning
A forest management plan commensurate with the scale and intensity of forest management should be formulated and implemented, and revised at any time. The long-term objectives of the business and the means to achieve those objectives should be clearly articulated.
 
Principle 8:
Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitoring should be carried out according to the scale and intensity of forest management to assess forest condition, production of forest products, chain of custody, management activities and their social and environmental impacts.
 
Principle 9:
Maintain High Conservation Value Forests
Management activities in HCVFs should maintain or enhance the characteristics of these forests and always take a precautionary approach into account in all decisions regarding HCVFs.
 
Principle 10:
Plantation Forests
Planted forests should be planned and managed in accordance with Principles and Criteria 1 to 9 and Principle 10 and its Criteria. Plantations can provide a range of social and Provides replenishment, relieves pressure on natural forests, and promotes restoration and conservation of natural forests.


FSC Core Labour Requirements

  1. Child Labor: The use of child labor is prohibited. Vendors agree to employ only workers who meet the applicable minimum legal age requirement for the type of work and country or region where the manufacturing is located. Vendors must maintain records verifying every worker’s date of birth. Children under the age of 15 are not permitted in any area of the factory where employees work, including the production floor, materials receiving/warehouse areas, production/assembly areas, packaging/packing areas and finished goods warehouse or shipping areas. These requirements also apply to workers of contractors performing services on behalf of the vendor.
  2. Forced Labor: The use of forced labor is prohibited. Vendors must not use any form of indentured labor, prison labor, bonded labor, or other similar types of forced labor. Vendors must be compliant with local applicable labor laws at all times. Vendors are specifically prohibited from retaining workers’ identity or immigration documents.
  3. Human Rights: Vendors must ensure that every employee is treated with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subjected to any physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.
  4. Discrimination: Vendors must not discriminate in hiring practices or any other terms or conditions of work based on race, color, national origin, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, political opinion, or other protected category. Recognizing that cultural differences exist and different standards apply in various countries, however, we believe that all terms and conditions of employment should be based on an individual’s ability to do the job, not based on personal characteristics or beliefs.
  5. Freedom of Association: Vendors must recognize and respect the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining without penalty, discrimination, or harassment.
  6. Compensation: Vendors must fairly compensate their employees by providing wages and benefits that comply with the laws of the countries in which they are doing business or which are consistent with the prevailing local standard in the countries in which they are doing business, whichever is greater. Vendor must pay overtime wages in compliance with local laws or industry standard.
  7. Working Hours: Vendors must maintain reasonable employee work hours in compliance with local or national laws. Overtime work hours must be in compliance with local or national laws. Employees must be guaranteed at least one day off during a seven-day period.
  8. Health and Safety: Vendors must maintain a clean, safe, and healthy workplace in compliance with all national and local laws. Employees must have access to clean drinking water, sanitary washing facilities and an adequate number of toilets, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits. Emergency exits must comply with local fire prevention codes and be clearly identified with working lights and battery backups. Doors and other exits must be kept unlocked during working hours. The manufacturing location must have adequate lighting and ventilation. Vendors must ensure these standards are also met in any canteen and/or dormitory locations.

原則七:
應當制定和執行與森林經營規模和強度相適應的森林經營規劃,並隨時進行修改。清楚地闡述經營的長期目標以及實現這些目標的方法。
 
原則八:
應按照森林經營的規模和強度進行監測,以評估森林狀況、林產品產量、產銷監管鏈、經營活動及其社會與環境影響。
 
原則九:
在高保護價值的森林中進行經營活動,應維護或加強這些森林的特徵,並且始終要以預防的方法來考慮關於高保護價值森林的各種決策。
 
原則十:
應按照原則及標準一至九和原則十及其標準來規劃和經營人工林,人工林可以提供一系列的社會和經濟效益,並有助於滿足全世界對林產品的需求,同時對天然林提供補給補充,減輕對天然林的壓力,並促進天然林的恢復和保護。

A.童工:絕對禁止雇用童工。供應商只能雇用符合對於生產該類型工作和地區或國家的最低法定年齡要求的工人,或至少年滿16歲,以年齡較高者為準。供應商須保存相關記錄,以核實每一個員工的出生日期。未滿16歲的兒童不得進入工廠員工工作的任何區域,包括生產車間,材料接收/倉庫區域,生產/區域組裝車間,包裝/包裝區域以及成品倉庫或運輸區域。
 
B.強迫勞動:禁止強迫勞動。供應商不得使用任何形式的抵債勞動、禁錮勞動、契約勞動,或其他與強迫勞動類似的勞動形式。供應商需遵守當地的勞動法律。供應商不得扣留工人的身分證件或移民文件。
 
C.人權:供應商須確保每一位員工都得到充分尊重及尊嚴的對待。每一位員工都不得遭受任何身體、性、心理或言語上的騷擾或虐待。
 
D.歧視:供應商不得因種族、膚色、民族、性別、宗教、殘及、性取向、政治觀點或其他受保護類別而在雇傭政策或工作條件上存在歧視。不同國家有不同的標準,認同文化差異的存在。雇傭條款和條件和判斷其能否勝任此崗位,都應是基於個人的工作能力,而不該基於個人的特質或信仰。
 
E.結社自由:供應商需認可併並尊重員工結社自由和勞資談判的權利,並確保員工免受處罰、歧視或騷擾。
 
F.補償:供應商須通過提供符合國家和當地的法律或標準(以較高標準為準)的工資和福利來補償其員工。供應商須根據當地法律或行業標準支付加班費。
 
G.工作時間:供應商須根據國家和當地法律維持合理員工的工作時數。加班時數須符合當地或國家法律。員工每工作7天,便須至少休息1天。
 
H.健康和安全:供應商須根據國家和當地法律,保持工作場所的乾淨、安全和健康。保證員工有乾淨的飲用水、衛生清洗設施和足夠數量的廁所、滅火器和消防出口。消防出口必須遵守當地的防火法規,並安裝有效照明燈和備用電池。在工作時間,車間門和其他出口須保持暢通。同時保持生產車間有足夠的照明和通風。供應商須確保所有食堂和/或宿舍廠所也要符合這些標準。
